There is a worldwide organisation of lay people who are called LAY MSC. These are people who want to make a public commitment to being MSC in the world. Whilst some structures in different countries may vary never the less the model used in Australia is very popular.

There are more than 200 LAY MSC in Australia. They are in most states. Generally, they meet in groups of 8-10, once a month, for prayer and reflection on their lives and the spirituality, thus strengthening each other to be active in a specific MSC ministry or just to continue to spread the good news of the love of God for all people in their ordinary way of life.
