Mary Scarfe turns 90 today, April 18th. She is well-known to many MSC.

Mary was a Marriage Counsellor with the Catholic Family Welfare Bureau in Melbourne when she was invited by Peter Cantwell OFM to work with him on counselling courses at the Yarra Theological Union. Mary was the first woman lecturer at YTU, teaching there for over twenty years.
Mary also worked for a number of Renewal programs at Douglas Park and with MSC Formation. She also contributed to the MSC Theology Review, Compass.
When the Heart of Life Centre was established, she became part of the staff, seminars and supervision for many years.

Mary contributed a memoir to the 50th anniversary celebration of YTU book, Aiming for Excellence. She now lives at the MacKillop Centre, East Hawthorn.
